Net Weight Gross Weight Parent Child Issues

I am receiving these two errors on 4 items I am trying to publish to Kroger.

04068359191127:NetWeight of parent item must be greater than or equal to the sum of the NetWeight of the child items

The GTINs Gross Weight (grossWeight) shall be greater than 96% of the sum of the GTINs Packaging Weight (packagingWeight) and the Gross Weight (grossWeight) of all its next lower-level child items. Combined calculated weight of GTINs Packaging Weight with its next lower-level items is currently: [{0}].

My calculations show that the weight are correct.
EACH  GROSS WEIGHT 0.315 POUNDS
EACH  NET WEIGHT 0.315 POUNDS
PACKAGE GROSS WEIGHT 0.96 POUNDS 3 0.945
PACKAGE NET WEIGHT 0.96 POUNDS 3 0.945
CASE GROSS WEIGHT 4.04 POUNDS 4 3.84
CASE NET WEIGHT 4.04 POUNDS 4 3.84
PALLET GROSS WEIGHT 863.066 POUNDS 200 808
PALLET NET WEIGHT 863.066 POUNDS 200 808

Hello @kristinevonhof and thank you for using the customer community. Welcome.

The weight issues may have to do with the linked quantities, the weights themselves or both.

The Package, GTIN 04068359190687, currently has a Net and Gross Weight of 0.97 Pounds in the system. According to the linked quantites, there are 12 Packages inside a Case, resulting in 11.64 Pounds, versus the  4.06 Pounds currently entered. If the linked quantites are wrong in Item Management, then the current hierarchy can be unlinked, saved, and relinked with the correct quantities, please. The linked quantites refer to the next lower level in a hierarchy, and not to the total number of items inside that hierarchy level.

For example, let's say we have a Case containing 5 Packages and then each Package contains 10 Eaches. The linked quantites (as well as the Total Count of All Items) should be 6 between the Case and Package and then 10 between the Package and the Each. Here is an article explaining how to unlink hierarchies when needed, please: How to Unlink Items in IM.

I hope this helps. We are here for you if anything else is needed, please.

Thank you!

Thanks for the info. So I can't unlink as the item are published so I need to withdraw and wait to republish right?

Hello @kristinevonhof ,

The net weight and gross weight errors are usually what prevent you from publishing your items.

You can unlink the items and then link them again using the new quantity without withdrawing as there should be no existing publication. Please make sure to use Update Hierarchy after each update to help prevent receiving the Duplicate Child error.

Thank you!

I

Hello @kristinevonhof,  and thank you for letting us know.

Yes, if an item is published, you would withdraw all active publications and wait for the 25-hour period to process. After that, you can correct the links, quantity, and publish it back.

If further help is needed or questions arise, please let us know.

Thank you.
