NOTICE: This is an additional add-on service. If you are interested in activating this option, please contact your sales manager or [email protected] for more details.

Who this affects: Anyone who currently receives SMS text messages as their second step when signing in to ChannelOnline. If you already use Okta Verify or the Google Authenticator app, no action is needed.

Okta is retiring SMS as a supported authentication factor on September 19, 2026. To ensure continued access to your account, all users currently using SMS-based MFA must switch to a supported authenticator application. After September 19, 2026, text-message codes will no longer work, and you will need an authenticator app enrolled to sign in.

This change reduces exposure to SIM-swapping and message interception, which make SMS the weakest of the available verification methods. This change is to protect you, our customer.

What you need to do:

  1. Install one of the supported apps on your phone: Okta Verify (recommended) or Google Authenticator (6-digit code).
  2. When you go to ChannelOnline to log in, select either Okta or Google as your chosen authenticator method.
  3. Scan the on-screen QR code with the app to complete enrollment.
